Abrasion Resistance

Polypropylene-based composites exhibit good abrasion resistance due to the polymer's inherent properties. A sand and slurry test was performed comparing UHMW PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyurethane), Twintex® PP 60% woven and an FRP woven glass/polyester laminate. Weight loss was measured after several days of abrasion exposure.

The more weight loss, the less abrasion resistant the product is.
