We produce our own pre preg materials using Owens Corning ShieldStrand® Reinforcements. Our in-house pre preg manufacturing capabilities is spearheaded by multi-opening laminating presses, which affords our customers the benefit of choosing from a broad portfolio of custom sheet sizes. Additionally, we have many CNC machining centers capable of producing the finished part.

At Iten Industries, we proudly feature an in- house tool room capable of producing molds, fixed to accommodate customer supplied prints, ranging from simple to complex curved shapes and contours. Being a vertically integrated manufacturing facility, we offer cost saving opportunities by simply manufacturing all the required operations under one roof.

The company also provides complex composites by integrating unlike ballistics technologies (various forms of steel, aluminum, titanium, aramid cloth, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, or ceramics) with thermoset composites for superior protection in a myriad of applications. Complex composites have combined structural, ballistics protection and aerial density characteristics that are unattainable by any one of the individual technologies.

The company’s ShotBlocker® line of ballistic resistant sheets, pre-pregs, and molded shapes is uniquely formulated to meet the most stringent military requirements.
Offered in sheet thicknesses ranging from 0.125" to 4.000", and sheet sizes up to 48" x 108", each formulation undergoes a controlled multi-step manufacturing process followed by rigorous material testing to guarantee superior performance.
Norplex-Micarta’s production capacity of ballistic resistant sheets and pre-pregs exceeds 100,000 pounds per week.

Since the early 1990s, Protectolite™ Inc. has manufactured a wide variety of ballistic laminates from Spall Liners to Mine Blast Protection grade sheets. Materials used range from phenolic & non phenolic thermoset resins to various types of thermoplastic resin systems. We are a Preferred Molder Supplier for Owens Corning ShieldStrand® and ShieldStrand® S Amor Solution Products .

Our laminates are used on various vehicles from M113 & LAVs and other Armored Personnel Vehicles, Tactical Supply Truck fleets, and other Security Vehicles such as ASVs. These are just a few of the programs now seeing service in places such as Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Sioux Manufacturing Corporation (SMC) is an ISO 9001-2008 registered contract manufacturer providing advanced composites and composite armor assemblies direct to U.S. DOD, U.S. DOJ, government primes, lower tier subcontractors and foreign customers.

SMC began composite armor production in 1980 with the Mil-H-44099 U.S. PASGT helmet and at that time SMC decided to vertically integrate processing at a 250,000 sq. ft. facility located in Fort Totten, ND.
The decision positioned SMC as the only composite armor manufacturer to begin with fiber and finish with composite armor components under one roof.
