We produce our own pre preg materials using Owens Corning ShieldStrand® Reinforcements. Is uniquely designed to promote Owens Corning valued customers uniqueness and capabilities to supply ShieldStrand armor for the military and commercial armor markets.
Additionally, to position and reinforce Owens Corning ShieldStrand® product family, as a high quality, and performance base solution for the armor supply chain.
This program results in a closer business relationship with a common goal to provide high quality ShieldStrand armor

The program provides a process for assessing capabilities of ShieldStrand armor suppliers, and requires them to demonstrate high quality consistency of armor processed with ShieldStrand® materials.
The program is open to all ShieldStrand armor suppliers that meet specified conditions and obligations established by Owens Corning.

ShieldStrand Armor supplier obligations include the following:

* Financial stability
* Accreditation to ISO standard
* Quality control and procedures to demonstrate that manufacturing process consistently delivers ShieldStrand armor with ballistic performance above the US Mil Spec.
* Complete quality and process audits

Owens Corning obligations include but not limited to the following:


* Maintaining a preferred customer data base for communication with vehicle OEM’s and key DOD agencies
* Extending promotional opportunities (web page, conferences, trade journals, industry publications)
* Owens Corning supplied ShieldStrand rovings and fabrics are in full compliance to applicable specifications.
