Product Reference List

P244 E Glass

P244 is a roving produced by assembling E-glass strands, wound without twisting into cylindrical cheeses.
P244 uses a sizing system (medium solubility type) with a silane coupling agent.

495

495 conventional roving is manufactured with state-of-the-art equipment, innovative chemistry and a major commitment to statistical process control. The quality Management Program of Owens Corning manufacturing is certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9002. Owens Corning 495 roving is manufactured from a collection of continuous glass filaments gathered, without mechanical twist, into a single bundle. The roving is then wound and shipped in a tubeless package ready for use in cstomer continuous operations.

P243 E-glass

P243 is a roving produced by assembling E-glass strands, wound without twist onto cylindrical cheeses. It is specially designed for the manufacture of translucent panels, using all types of cutters.
P243 has a sizing system with a silane coupling agent.

P244C

P244C is a multi-end E-glass roving designed for chopping application with various types of chopping  machines. P244C sizing is of medium solubility and contains a silane as coupling agent. Due to its outstanding characteristics, P244C roving is recommended for: Car headliners, Manufacture of panels, complexes and felts, Reinforcement of plaster.

P246 Advantex® Glass

P246 has been designed for applications where the rovings are chopped and especially for: the reinforcement of car headliners, the reinforcement of plaster, the manufacture of panels, complexes and felters, the filament winding processes with choppable roving, the Drostholm process (chop and drop).

P246 E Glass

P246 has been designed for applications where the rovings are chopped and especially for: the reinforcement of car headliners, the reinforcement of plaster, the manufacture of panels, complexes and felters, the filament winding processes with choppable roving, the Drostholm process (chop and drop).

P223 E-Glass

P223 is an assembled E-glass roving for the manufacture of complexes. It has a very good wet out in thermoset resins and it is particularly suitable for needled mat manufacturing.

P244 Advantex® Glass

P244 is designed for applications such as headliners reinforcement, the manufacture of panels, complexes and felts, plaster reinforcement. The Advantex® glass fiber combines the electrical and mechanical properties of traditional E-glass with the acid corrosion resistance of E-CR glass.

P250

P250 is a roving produced by assembling E-glass strands, wound without twist onto cylindrical cheeses. It has been designed for applications where chopped strands from rovings are necessary, and especially for:

- reinforcement of headliners
- manufacture of panels, complexes and felters
- reinforcement of plaster

OC HiLight™ Roving for Translucent PanelsOC HiLight™ is made with corrosion-resistant Advantex® E-CR glass. OC HiLight™ roving incorporates a proprietary sizing that provides unmatched clarity in translucent panels. When compared with similar panels made with competitive rovings, panels made with OC HiLight™ roving show a significantly reduced appearance of white fibers, less air entrapment and less light distortion (Owens Corning testing).
