ST Product Series

The Silentex® ST product series is a specially designed Type 30® product which achieves maximum product throughput and maximum texturization utilizing approved OCV texturizing machines. As opposed to most of the composite applications - for which Type 30® is developed - this product range is adapted to high unwinding speed, acoustic performance thanks to nozzle technology, and high fiber strength.

Its Advantex® glass formulation is particularly suitable for the requirements of the exhaust industry in terms of temperature, corrosion and blow out resistance.

ST2070	The ST2070 product is Owens Corning’s 24µm 7000 tex Single End roving based on the Advantex® high temperature composition and is specifically engineered for use in the Silentex® process to minimize process interruptions and ensure overall efficiency.
Silentex® product brochure	The Silentex system for placing sound absorbing materials in silencers and the Advantex glass composition are an exceptional combination to use in solving the acoustic challenges of silencers over the lifetime of the vehicles in which they are used. The Silentex system together with Advantex fiberglass directly addresses the issues which other absorptive materials face in trying to last the lifetime of the vehicle.
ST1048	The ST1048 product is OCV™ Reinforcements’ 28μm 4800 tex Single End roving based on the Advantex® high temperature composition and is specifically engineered for use in the Silentex® process to minimize process interruptions and ensure overall efficiency.
Single-End Rovings (Type 30®) Product Range	Single-End Rovings are reinforcement products for filament winding, long-fiber thermoplastics, pultrusion, knitting and weaving applications with polyester (UP), vinylester (VE), epoxy (EP), phenolic (PN), polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA) resin systems. Single-End Rovings are produced by pulling individual fibers directly from the bushing and winding them onto a roving package ready for shipment. The uniform distribution of a proprietary sizing system ensures an excellent resin-to-glass binding through uniform distribution of the binding agent.
